The Güntner Group’s Largest Production Facility

The Güntner-Tata company was founded in 1990 by Güntner and Tata Hűtőtechnika (formerly state-owned refrigeration cooperative) located in Tata, Hungary (near Budapest).
From 1990 to 2008, the facility’s production area increased from almost 2000 m² to 33,000 m². What’s more by 2008, the number of employees in management and production increased by a factor of 20, resulting in a total of 950 employees.
This dynamic rate of growth in recent years has caused this plant to become the largest production facility in the entire Güntner Group. The Tata production plant manufactures equipment and devices across the whole range of Güntner product lines: evaporators, condensers, air coolers, drycoolers and switch cabinets as well as special, customized solutions for our European customers. In manufacturing the high-quality Güntner heat exchangers, steel, stainless steel, aluminium and copper is used.

Developing new product lines

Other major activities at our Hungarian location include developing new product lines and testing new production technologies.
Keeping a close, personalized business relationship with our customers and keeping production close to the ultimate sites of product installation, thus ensuring short transport distances, are key components of our company strategy. The products made in Tata are primarily supplied to markets in Europe and the Middle East.
The excellent quality management, occupational health and safety policies and careful use of natural resources in our production processes at our Tata plant are confirmed by its certification in accordance with the following standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001.

Production Line for microox® Technology

In 2008, Güntner set up a new production line at the Tata plant for the largest project undertaken so far in its company history: the development of the microox® technology, which is a further development of the micro-channel technology used in stationary heat exchangers. This production line, which was specially designed solely for manufacturing products featuring microox® technology, consists of a fully automated process flow in which these aluminium heat exchangers are assembled and then brazed in CAB (Controlled Atmosphere Aluminium Brazing) ovens.
